I absolutely cannot stand my MIL. Maybe that makes me a real beyotch but so be it. People think she is so wonderful. But she is rather ignorant and extremely annoying. I am sorry, at this point, that I have done so many nice things for her. It meant nothing. She doesn't even know how to say thank you! She should have been touched somehow by the kindness I have shown her. I guess Queenie just had it coming? Don't get me wrong, I show kindness for kindness sake - but I'm only human and I'd like to think that it means something. I guess I'm not low-rent enough for her. She goes on and on about how wonderful other people are, those people are dumb and ignorant and low-rent! And they can just treat me however they want and there's always some strange excuse for their behavior. I can't stand her and cannot even deal with ever seeing her again! I'm going to have to get over this but it probably won't happen for awhile...*sigh*...
I have to get this off my chest, hope you don't mind. I have grown to hate my MIL. My husband and I were together for years before we got married, which of course made her not take our wedding or marriage seriously - except her and her daughter's place in it (which should have been nowhere, but I was trying to be nice). When we got engaged, she started making all sorts of weird comments, like that women over a certain age "shouldn't" have children, and she can't afford another grandchild. Gee, thanks bitch - so nice to know that if I hadn't had fertility issues, any child born out of our wedlock would not be good enough for you. This woman LIVES to stop and give presents...yet she brought NO presents to my bridal shower, and even made all sorts of comments about it being "silly" that I even registered anywhere since we don't need anything - um, excuse me? And your f*ing daughter and granddaughter need all the crap you buy for them? Not that presents have sh*t to do with need, it would have been nice if she'd just been happy for us.
